A bunion occurs when a bump forms on the joint at the base of your big toe. It is formed by your big toe pushing against your next toe, which forces the joint of your big toe to stick out. Bunions can be caused by several things, such as:

• Wearing tight shoes, which can also make a bunion worse


• Structural defects


• Stress on the foot


• Medical conditions (E.g. Arthritis)
