Insurance And Office Payment

Our practice participates in many insurance plans. An updated list is available by contacting our office. Since each plan has different requirements and coverage limitations and exclusions, it is the responsibility of the patient to understand and meet the requirements of their individual plan. Many patients will have a "co-pay" or co-insurance (a portion of their charges which is not covered by insurance). Those covered by Medicare and some other insurance plans may have "deductibles" as well. Due to ObamaCare, also known as the ACA or Affordable Care Act, Co-pays, deductables and non-covered charges are payable at the time services are rendered.  If your out of pocket expense is not known at the time of the office visit then payment will be due within 30 days of service as identified on your Explanation of Benefits (EOB) or at the time of your next visit.  Unfortunatly, Advanced Urologic Care Associates, P.C. is unable to allow for patients to carry an outstanding balance that is assigned as patient responsibility.  If you are not current or up do date with your financial responsibility to the practice, you will not be able to be seen in the office or hospital unless it is an emergency situation.  This is an unfortunate circumstance but is necessary due to ObamaCare. Our billing staff is available to assist you with questions you may have about coverage conditions and payment arrangements. We accept payment by cash, Visa, MasterCard and Discover.



​Unfortunatley, all accounts that are unpaid and no other payment arrangement made for over 90 days, Advanced Urologic Care Asscociates, P.C. will have no choice but to forward you account to our collections department.  Should this be the unfortunate case, patients will be responsible for all legal fees associated with the collection process.
