Otitis Externa (Outer Ear Infection/Swimmer’s Ear) Discharge Instruction
Otitis externa, or swimmer's ear, is an infection in the outer ear canal. This canal goes from the outside of the ear to the eardrum. Your health care provider will diagnose an ear infection by looking inside the ear with an instrument called an otoscope.
