1. Foods which contain yeast as an additive ingredient in preperation (often called leavening):

Breads Cookies Crackers

Cake and Cake Mix Flour enriched with vitamins Pastries

Canned Ice Box Biscuits: from yeast - Pretzels

Borden, Pillsbury, & General Mills General Mills, Inc. Hamburger Buns

Rolls homemade or canned Flour Corporation flour and Hot Dog Buns

Meat fried in cracker crumbs enrichment waters Hungarian Flour Mills

Self-rising bread Pfizer Labratories enrichment

Milk fortified with vitamins products

2. Substances that contain yeast or yeast like substances, because of their nature or nature of their manufacture or preperation:

Mushrooms -- Truffles

Cheese (including Cottage Cheese), Buttermilk, Sour Cream, Soy Sauce, Black Tea

All Vineagers: Apple, Pear, Grape and Distilled. These may be used as such or they will be used in these foods:

Ketchup, Mayonnaise, Olives, Pickles, Sauerkraut, Condiments, Horseradish, French Dressing, Salad Dressing, BBQ Sauce, Tomato Sauce, Chili Peppers, Etc., Mince Pie, All Baby Cereals

All fermented beverages: Whiskey, Wine, Brandy, Gin, Rum, Vodka, Root Beer, Ginger Ale, Beer

All malted products: Cereals, Candy and Milk drinks which have been malted

All citrus fruit juices, whether frozen or canned. Only home squeezed are yeast free!

All dried fruits (e.g. prunes, raisins, dates, etc.)

Antibiotics: Penicillin, Mycin Drugs, Chloromycetin, B-12, Tetracyclines, Lincocin and many others are derived from mold cultures

Some monosodium glutamate may be a yeast derivative

Citric Acid - almost always a yeast derivative
