Prior to your Allergy/Immunology visit, please stop all anthistamines 7 days prior. Below is a list of medications which should be held and others that do NOT need to be held: If there are any questions please do no hesitate to call our office for a clarification.
Please ***STOP*** the following medications:
Oral Anthistamines: Actifed, Allegra (Fexofenadine), Atarax, (Hydroxyzine), Benadryl (Diphenhydramine), Bromfed, Chlor-Trimeton (Chlorpheniramine), Claritin (Loratadine), Clarinex (Desloratadine), Robitussin Cough and Cold, Children's Dimetap Cough and Cold, Nyquil, Children's Triaminic Cold and Cough, Xyzal (Levocetirizine), Zutripo, Zyrtec (Cetirizine)
Nasal Anthistamines: Astelin or Astepro (Azelastine), Dymista, Patanase (Olapatadine)
Please ***DO NOT STOP*** the following medications:
Asthma Medications: Advair, Dulera, Symbicort, Asmanex, Flovent, Alvesco, AeroBid, Pulmicort (Budesonide), QVAR, Tilade, ProAir, Proventil, Ventolin, Xopenex (Levalbuterol), Albuterol
Nasal Steroid Sprays/Nasal Anticholinergics: Nasonex, Flonase (Fluticasone), Nasacort, Nasarel, Atrovent Nasal (Ipratropium), Omnaris, Rhinocort, Veramyst, QNASL, Zetonna
