The cold water immersion test with finger skin temperature (FST) measurement is used to assess vascular disorders in Reynaud's (a disorder in which the fingers or toes suddenly experience decreased blood circulation). A sensor is placed on the Toe/Finger. Wave forms are obtained before and after the patient submerges their toe/ fingers in ice cold water for 5 minutes.
